Hi there,
Unfortunately, my computer got stolen a week ago. Therefore I have to download Dorico on my new computer. According to Steinberg, I need an E-license to download it on the new pc. I then looked up how two transfer a license between two computers, and Steinberg said:
“Open the Activation Manager on the old computer and deactivate the license. Install Dorico on the new computer, then activate it via the Activation Manager.”
But since I don’t have my old pc, it’s not possible. Does someone have a solution to this?
I think you can open MY Steinberg, go to your Steinberg Licenses and deactivate all your licenses from your stolen PC.
I never did it, so I hope to be right…
Leon, I’m sorry to hear about your computer having been stolen, that’s terrible.
However, it looks to me as if you have a Dorico Pro 4 license, so you don’t need to worry about the eLicenser at all. On your new computer, install Steinberg Download Assistant and sign in with your Steinberg ID. Under My product downloads you should see Dorico Pro 4 listed; if not, go to the Dorico category and find it there.
Click the Install All button in the top right-hand corner and wait for all the progress bars to turn green. Now you can run Dorico 4 on your computer. You’ll probably be prompted to sign in once more with your Steinberg ID, but that should be it.
Thanks for replying.
I have another problem. When I try to open the Download Assistent or the App, my computer says; “A connection to the download server could not be established. Check you internet connection and try again.”
I have checked my internet and tried multiple places, that’s not the problem. What could be going on?
Leon, you have to re-install SDA from here.:
This has been requested from Steinberg for weeks…

I have tried that many times, but every time it says: ‘Steinberg Download Assistant was unable to connect to the download manager’
I tried to uninstall and re-install multiple times, even restarting didn’t work…
What could be wrong here?
Which version is installed @leonthomsen ?
Thank you Leon! Well in this case I don’t know how to help more… I tried now and everything works (a bit slow to say the truth), thus it isn’t a SDA or Site issue.
Check the validity of your account accessing My Steinberg, but you are working with the forum, so I really don’t know… Sorry…
No problem, still thanks for helping!

It’s certainly not as convenient as using SDA, but you can download everything you need here:
