Dorico, Organteq, NotePerformer

Hi, I have a problem with the pedal stave being played by the lower notes from the first stave (G.O.) along with the pedal part. There don’t seem to be any couplers in effect, and the midi channels are different. This happens with all projects that I create. I am using the Dorico playback template that came with @JesterMusician Bach piece, which plays with no problem. (Thank you!)
I feel it has something to do with deleting the extra instances created when ’ enable independent voice playback ’ is activated.
Speaking of which, I am also working on a piece with organ and cello, which uses notePerformer. It seems that you can only delete unwanted instances in the VST list from the bottom up which means trashing the NotePerformer instance first whenever an Organteq voice is created, I think that is the case but I am new to this!
Thank you in advance for any suggestions. I am a refugee after 40 years on Finale, but very much looking forward to working with Dorico.

@jpj2k, there appear to be problems with the playback template, which I reapplied from here Organteq with Dorico - #35 by JesterMusician
This solved some but not all of the problems. Reapplying the template required once again deleting the extra instances of Organteq 2, ensuring the VST instrument and expression maps both said “Organteq 2” for each of the channels and then resetting the channel numbers to match what you sent. There still seemed to be some difficulties, though, so I then deleted and re-added the same stops and then everything worked fine. You might want to try a second similar project after re-installing the playback template. Also, you might want to refer to my revised Organteq 2 “recipe book” posted here earlier today.
Organteq 2 with Dorico
Sorry I can’t be more specific about the ultimate cause but hope this helps. My revision to your project is here:

No, you can delete whatever instances you want in whatever order you choose. Just go to the VST and Midi column towards the left in Play Mode, select the instance you want to delete, and then push the garbage pail icon to delete it from your project.

Brilliant! Thank you Mike, the revised midiTest works perfectly and a second similar newly created project also works as expected. I will see if I can “reverse engineer” some of my other tests!
I have downloaded your “recipe book”, thank you again, extremely helpful.

That’s how I expected it to work but on my system if I select a higher instance, the garbage pail icon greys out and is not available to delete.

Same here.

@jpj2k and @derAbgang, there are two garbage cans close together-one for vst instruments and one for external midi instruments. Make sure you are using the one for vst.

Of course, but for me, only the bottom-most highlighted VST enables the garbage can. This is a known issue, see this thread:

Hmm, I’ve not had that problem here. Hopefully it will be remedied soon…

EDIT: I just checked while I had Dorico open and indeed the problem does appear here, too. I hadn’t noticed earlier because I have only used the function to delete unneeded extra instances of Organteq and the order in which they are deleted doesn’t matter.

@jpj2k, I double-checked my system after responding and discovered to my surprise that it will also delete only the bottom vst instrument. If you haven’t done this already, try leaving all vst instruments active but assign all OT2 voices to only the first instance with appropriate channel adjustments for the different voices. This will allow you to leave NP active and functional for your cello and will hopefully work well enough .
