Hello everyone,
Do you have any news about the compatibility of Dorico Pro 5 with the new macOS Tahoe?
If not yet compatible, will an update come out that will make it so?
Thank you

I don’t think there will be any more updates for Dorico 5. A few people on the forum say that Dorico 6 seems to work fine on Tahoe, though.

So because we want to stay at Dorico 5 he will never be able to update the operating system again?
I’d be surprised if Dorico 5 simply wouldn’t run under an OS update…for now. Of course, at some point all apps move beyond older OSs and vice versa.
I’d be interested to know if anyone on the forum actually is running Dorico 5 on Tahoe.
I have Dorico 5 on my Tahoe Mac, and a quick test shows that it launches, opens documents, and plays, at least. As there hasn’t been (m)any problems for Dorico 6 to move from Sequoia to Tahoe, I wouldn’t expect (m)any problems for Dorico 5 either.
Is there a reason that you want to stay on v5?
@benwiggy Thank you for your experience.
For the moment I want to stay at Dorico 5 because I’m working well with it and the functions introduced in Dorico 6 at the moment are not very useful to me. So I’ll wait a little longer and then I’ll make the passage.
There are improvements in every area. It would be hard to think of a workflow where there aren’t some bug fixes, improvements or new features.

I’m sure you’re right about its benefits, and once I upgrade I’m sure I’ll be glad I did. Bottom line: I’m a cheapskate and am waiting for the first discount!
From D5? I don’t remember there being “sales” on the $99 upgrade price. Perhaps I’m wrong about that, though.
There always have been before. I have yet to pay the full upgrade price for any of them, starting with version 1.4
