I have purchased Dorico Pro 5 Crossgrade through my Make Music account, downloaded, and activated it. I activated it with my download access code but it is not showing up in my Applications folder. Mac OS 14.6.
“Dorico Pro 5 Crossgrade” does not appear in my list of downloads in Download Assistant, but Dorico Pro 5 does.
You should just be able to install Dorico Pro 5. The Crossgrade is just a different license - the program itself that gets downloaded/installed is completely identical.
I don’t use MacOS, but after Dorico Pro 5 is installed via the Download Assistant you should have an icon for it. Make sure you’ve installed the application itself and not just some of the optional components.
Sometimes I find due to a glitch the download assistant stops downloading at 99.999% and thinks it is still downloading, but it is has actually finished but it doesn’t realize, and I have to hit pause download and download again and it instantly resumes from 99.999% and jumps up to 100% (complete) and installs.
I too purchased Dorico through makemusic. I recently got a laptop and installed all the tools needed to install Dorico. I have Dorico installed on the PC in my home studio but, plan on using the laptop when I’m not in the studio. I went to install and was told my DAC was being used by another. I couldn’t install. I then went to my studio and noticed that I couldn’t run Dorico anymore. Additionally, when I logged into my account @ Steinberg, Dorico didn’t show up anymore, only Cubase (from 2013). I’m like what? I did everything properly when I did the Finale-crossover offer, now why is my access gone, or it’s like I never even purchased it. Any assistance is welcome. Could it be because it was purchased though makemusic, not Steinberg??
Anthony, I suspect that you have another Steinberg ID with a different email address, and your Dorico license is associated with that Steinberg ID. Can you think of another email address you might have used to set up a Steinberg ID?
