I use Dorico Pro 5 on MasOS Sequoia and I have a Komplete Kontrol MK3 as well of a Loupedeck CT connected. All my softwares are up to date.
I use to be able to enter notes with my midi keyboard but it stopped working. I don’t see the green light anymore showing that it is receiving midi inputs.
I have restarted apps and computer several times with no success.
The Komplete Kontrol keyboard works as it should with other apps.
In Dorico>Preferences>Play>Midi device Kontrol s88 Mk3 is ticked for Main, Daw and Ext
Hi Ulf , thanks for your reply. Finally, I have down grade MacOs from Sequoia to Sonoma on another SSD and when I opened my file everything is now working as it should. I think this must be an issue with Dorico and Sequoia. Sorry for the diagnostic Report, I did not generate one before downgrading.
@Ulf I finally got that Diagnostic report from Dorico 5.1 Pro and Sequoia. I hope it helps to solve this issue.
Note that I have encounter another problem. Not sure it’s a Dorico issue. It might be an OS thing. My Scarlett 18i20 doesn’t connect when I load a Dorico file.
I need to make sure at first that it is it’s already connected to the Mac and then I have to do it manually with Dorico. Sometimes I have to turn off and on the Sound Card.
You see, it does not show a streaming-enabled=“1” like the Pilote or Loupedeck and therefore it is disabled. This perfectly matches the Dorico preferences where I can see
So the S88 is disabled. I don’t know if you did that on purpose or by accident, but you need to go to the Dorico Preferences dialog and under the Play tab enable the S88 as MIDI Input Device.
Hi Ulf The keyboard has just disconnected. It’s like if there is no midi signal coming in.
The keyboard works fine with Standalone apps but not in Dorico. It just stopped working suddenly today. All boxes are ticked for Komplete Kontrol in the Play settings.
I join a diagnostic file to this message in case it could help.
Hope you can help
Martin C. Dorico Diagnostics.zip (1.2 MB)
Hi @Martin_Caron ,
I’m afraid I’m quite puzzled as well. Why? Because there is somehow a log file of the audio engine missing, or it just not did start up. I’ve sent you a private message via this board, please check.
Same issue here. No MIDI signal coming in Dorico 5 Pro. My keyboard works fine with Cubase. I’m on PC. The diagnostics.zip file is too big. How can I send it to you, @Ulf
Greg
Hi @rakatafla ,
Please mail me directly under u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de
If the zip file is still too big, you could use a service like DropBox. Or alternatively repackage the zip file into 4 smaller files and send them separately.
Thanks
