Looking at the product comparison, just wondering thoughts what would be more valuable for me.
My background is basically a Drummer/Muscian, but by all means not at a Pro level. I come from Musescore and then Finale to notate whatever my needs are to practice my drumming skills. I do not publish and scores unless it’s my drumming friends.
Leaning more to Elements 5, but the upgrade to Finale at $149 is tempting.
My recommendation would be to take advantage of the special price available to you as a Finale user to grab Dorico Pro at a big discount. It’s highly unlikely you’ll get a chance to buy Dorico Pro at that price again in the future, and given that Elements is $99 and you can buy Pro for $149, I think it’s a no-brainer.
You don’t need to worry that Dorico Pro is going to seem more overwhelming than Elements because it contains more features. To look at, the products appear practically identical in use, but you can have confidence that whatever you need to do, you’ll be able to do in Dorico Pro without running into limitations.

Daniel, why is it so expensive to upgrade from Elements to Pro when, as you mention above, the price difference between Elements and Pro is negligible if you crossgrade?
