Dorico Pro 6.2: problems with double whole notes in tempo equations?

I am trying to make a tempo equation where one double whole note (breve) = one dotted double whole note. In the tempo tool, typing “2w=2w.” fails and gives “w. [double whole note] = 2”.

The other direction does not work either: “2w.=2w” gives “w [dotted breve] = 2”

Am I missing something?

It looks like breve does not work in tempo equations.

If you press Enter on the equation afterwards, it shows 2w = w.

There seems to be more inconsitencies with the tempo popover

This is the Help on that subject

and upon re-entering the popover it shows

Going back to the breve, I would expect this to work

But is doesn’t

The Tempo popover parses " equals number" as a metronome mark, not “equals note value”.

It’s probably also the reason why “2w” is seen as a metronome mark.

Ah, b=b. and b.=b seem to work (didn’t see this in the documentation).
