I want to trial Dorico but I am living in a house where I cannot access the internet. Please tell me if I can download the trial over the internet and then use it off line? I am pretty sure my Sibelius subscription worked offline. Cannot find this info anywhere.

Yes, you can. Just for the download and the license activation you need internet connectivity. Once it is installed and the license activated, you can use Dorico without any internet connection.
