Hi experts,

I have a problem about the run the Dorico Pro 5 in the Windows 10.
If I execute the Dorico Pro 5, the audio engine is not responded as below.

I already tried the VSTEngine termination but It doens’t work for me.
So, could you please check this issue? I attached the Dorico Diagnostics.zip

Many thanks,

Welcome to the forum, @godandwe. Did you click Continue to Wait? It looks like in the end the most recent run initialised correctly.

Also, if you have a lot of VSTs on your system, it will take quite a while for Dorico to scan them on first run.

Hi @dspreadbury.
Thank you for your comment.
Yes, I already clicked the the continue to wait. Maybe 10 times or more? And also, I waited more than 10 minute before capturing this snapshot but it still persisted.
After few minutes, Dorico cannot connect to the audio engine as below capture.

I attached the Dorico Diagnostics.zip when the above message is popped-up.

Hi @RobinHoffmann.
Thank you for your reply.

There are some VSTs such as Finale, Cubase in my laptop, so maybe Dorico scans them first. So, I try to continue to wait, but the Dorico shut down automatically, and the cause is “Dorico cannot connect to the audio engine.”

I’m not sure what’s going on here, I’m afraid. Paging my colleague @Ulf to ask for his assistance, though he’s on holiday at the moment so please be patient!

Hi @godandwe , first, you are on an old version of Halion Sonic SE, so please upgrade to the current version 7.1, despite the fact that I don’t think that that is the real problem, but let’s start with that.
Also, please ask if you need more detailed explanation of what I am asking you to do. The forum is so busy at the moment and so much to do, please understand. Thanks
