Dorico slash chord

Hi

How can I get Dorico to create a Slash chord ( inversion) . If I play, from bottom up, E,G,Bb,C…and ask Dorico for a Chord Analysis I get C7/E. …But if I type THAT in a s Chord popover, then ask Dorico to make the chord from the selection I get this ?

Did you select the Bass note option in the Chord-Generation screen?
Are any other instruments involved in the chord resolution?

I take it you have now tried flipping the piano into the “Plays Bass Notes” column.
