- Yes, translation lyrics are fully supported. See Changing type of lyrics.
- You can always force duration at any point (during entry or after) with o.
- Beaming to lyrics must be done manually. (There have been multiple discussions and arguments about this, both long ago and very recent.)
See the second half of this post for beaming shortcut tips. - When you want (what I would call) a “tempo suggestion” just for the accompanist, write it in staff text and make it italic. If you want it to play back, create the same tempo indication the normal way and hide it.
