I purchased the upgrade from 3.5 or older to upgrade 5.
I get an error message after the license activation screen.
No license to upgrade selectable
My license is registered to the correct email address as per this username.
D3.5 is activated online correctly.
I have just paid 768 aud for a product that I needed to purchase due to new work constraints with a composition that I am working on and I cant get it to work.
I am in Australia and called 4 times at Yamaha support. I left a message with no response.
I am happy to call UK in order to get this sorted as my composition needs to be supplied this coming Friday.
kindly assist

Welcome to the forum, Pantelis. Sorry to hear that you’re having problems. It looks to me as if you might have bought the wrong item: it looks like you’ve purchased the upgrade from Dorico Elements 3.5 to Dorico Pro 5, but that’s not what you needed to buy: you needed to buy the update from Dorico Pro 3.5 to Dorico Pro 5, i.e. this.
You should contact our web store support team at AskNet via their ticketing system here and request a refund for your purchase. Please let me know if you have any difficulties with this – they should get back to you within one or two business days.
In the meantime, you can run Dorico Pro 5 as you now have a “pending verification” license, which will allow you to run the software for 30 days while we get this sorted out. If you’ve not already installed Dorico Pro 5, you can do so via Steinberg Download Assistant.
Hi Daniel,
You are an absolute legend.
I just ran Dorico 5 and its working.
So I am guessing, I should just purchase the update that you shortlisted and then wait for a refund from asknet ?

Sorry I meant to say contact asknet and get a ticket to organise a refund.
Indeed, please contact AskNet to arrange a refund, and then you can purchase the right update. It should all be comfortably taken care of in the 30-day grace period you have with your temporary Dorico 5 license, but if not, please just get in touch with me and I will help.
