I’m having a bit of a problem. Dorico 6 not working like it used to a few hours ago. Keeping Shift button pressed no longer helps. I’ve attached the diagnostics file for you to take a look at. Can you help me out? Thanks a bunch!
Everything looks OK in the diagnostics. Are you perhaps trying to run Dorico 5 and Dorico 6 at the same time on your system? If so, don’t do that: quit Dorico 5, wait a few seconds, and then run Dorico 6.
Before installing D6, I removed D5. I then run D6, and it took about 15 to 20 minutes to scan all my plugins. That was a bit annoying waiting to explore the new piece of cake.
Your problem appears to be a different one. Looks to me as if the MediaBay service is not running. Please run the Windows Task Manager and start up Dorico. Then, at the top of the Task Manager is a search field; into there type the word media and have a look at the search results. In the list of background processes, do you see a process called Steinberg MediaBay Server ?
