Writing here to ask if anyone has had issues with Dorico being very very slow.
I am referring to just about anything I do in Dorico;
Clicking on an item, copying/pasting, filtering, switching between dorico files, respelling, bring up any preferences menu etc
I work in Sibelius and Finale but recently started using Dorico with a new client.
Compared to my work flow in Sibelius/Finale everything I do in Dorico is like molasses.
I will put a video link in the comments that shows how slow it is just switching between two open Dorico files (it wont let me put a link in a post)
Is this just the way it is in Dorico because of the “DAW” features? I hope not.
Please help. It is very frustrating as there is so much that I like about this software.
Also in your Youtube Video, you don’t permit to leave comments. So the people cannot learn what is causing this behaviour (that is exactly what I explained here above). I would suggest you to activate the comments under your video, or delete it or make it private (and post a link here on the forum): to spread informations/opinions based on a lack of understanding of how a software works, without a possible clarification, I find not fear.
@MUSICPREP101
I still can’t find the video. After sorting the video does not seem to exist.
Can you please share the link here?
There is a share arrow in YT that allows you to copy and share a link to the video.
@MUSICPREP101, I had a quick look through your diagnostic report and looked at the logs for one of your longer sessions. Aside from the commands to save and close the project, in general it appeared to me that commands are executed in around 100ms, or one tenth of a second. That’s not instantaneous, of course, but it should on the whole be quick enough.
I’m also unable to find your YouTube video without a link. Can you say a bit more about which specific operations you’re performing that are especially slow?
