As of today, when I start Dorico the software won’t initiate the audio engine. I can’t determine what is causing this, when I wrote in the software yesterday everything seemed to work. Any suggestions? I’ve tried Dorico 5 and Dorico 4. A diagnostic report is attached. Dorico Diagnostics.zip (657.1 KB)
Hi @nathant.clark33 , could you be more precise of what is happening or does not work? Because looking at your log files the audio engine seems to be working fine as far as I can tell. So please be more specific and precise of what is happening on your machine. Thanks
Hitting terminate generates the diagnostic zip file I sent you yesterday. Hitting continue to wait does nothing. The last screen I see before the process restarts is this one.
I used Dorico 4 for a year without any issues. When I upgraded to 5 and installed everything the audio engine and playback were buggy. After reinstalling everything I went back to using 4 without issue until yesterday to complete some quick projects for school. Now neither version is working properly.
So Zombies… you can cut off the head, or rebooting also works right? Better than a machete.
I had this issue today, and it persisted AFTER rebooting. (Dorico uploaded the dump FWIW). I’m skeptical that this has anything to do with anything, but factually I’d been testing a Display port to HDMI adapter that I believe is broken (It definitely is). It’s not my primary display, and I’d left the dongle hanging. I tried starting Dorico and got stuck waiting for the audio engine. I took the dongle off; happiness all around.
