I’m using the new TapSpace VDL marching instruments that were added with v6 of Dorico Pro. When I’m in HALion Sonic and using the keyboard (see attached screenshot please) to here all the different playing techniques, they playback perfectly fine. However, when I’m inputting the notes either via the individual part or the score, the playing technique I’m wanting to use does not sound like it should be. The rims for a snare drum sound like a normal snare hit, all the different cymbals techniques (hi-hat, ribbon crash, and so forth), that are included with the 5-staffed line marching snare drum, all sound the same. I contacted phone support, but they told me to create a post on here. Any help, as always, would be much appreciated! Thanks!
I’ll also add this: this happens will any of the marching percussion instruments as well. I’ve tried them all, and nothing sounds correctly when I’m inputting notes in the score or the individual part.
