uhm - it can handle 3 voice chord. Yeah, but no 4 voice Chords.
Delete one of the notes or push it in another voice - its fine.
But not what it should be.
This appears to be a bug for notes that are after a fixed Display Quantize change. In this case it’s setting a note length that is too long so it overlaps with the next note. A simple workaround is to select the notes in the first chord, press the quarter note button then the dotted note button. I’ll log the bug.
However, there is a more general issue here – this is a project from the old score editor and so it has many Display Quantize events. Most of these should not be necessary in the new score editor. When you load an old project, we try to convert the DQ events, but the new algorithm is very different and some of the old settings don’t make sense in the new one. I’ve updated your project to remove all the DQ events from the treble and set the default to the Auto 1/32 notes + 1/16 triplet setting and got virtually the same results (original score on the left, updated on the right)
In general, I would advise removing the DQ events and then if there is a specific section that isn’t quantized in the way you would like, select the range of notes and add a DQ override to that section (it should also create a ‘(DQ)’ event at the end to reset it back to the default.
I also experimented with the display quantizations and deleted some around (and even further around) bar 95. Your screenshot shows the beginning of the piece. Does it also work at bar 95? For me, nothing changes; there’s a 16T quantization at bar 90 and the default at bar 95, and yet the display is still incorrect.
You mean I should remove everything and start from scratch. I guess.
Incidentally, even the metronome settings aren’t working properly with this project. With a new project, I can, for example, adjust the high and low beats separately (volume and sound), using both MIDI and audio, as well as presets, etc.
Did you look at the updated project I attached? I removed most of the DQ events in there. I think also the default DQ in the Instrument Settings was set to Fixed 16. I suggest changing it to Auto 16, 16
I have found and fixed the bug. It is something that only happens for a very specific combination of circumstances when you have a chord of at least 4 notes on the half-beat with a duration of a dotted eighth, immediately followed by other notes.
