I need to write a tempo equation whole note = dotted double whole note.
Neither w = 2w. nor 8 = 9. work for me. Would be great, if these could be added.
(or am I missing something?)

You are not missing anything; at the moment, you cannot create a tempo equation longer than a double dotted whole note.
Any chance, that this could be changed?
I just gave it a try and couldn’t even get tempo equations with double whole notes without a dot to work properly, no meter if I use 2w or 9.
Use MuseGlyph as a stopgap solution?
That’s what I do anyway. But than I also have to take care of the playback and if I decide, to change the initial tempo, it’s very dangerous to miss to adjust a change …
You can always add the metronome value and don’t show it. It’s some basic maths… (quarter time metronome=5/2 former quarter time metronome)
That’s what I ment by writing that “I have take care of the playback”.
