Download assistant not working

Hey, whatever I click in the Download assistant I get the message “No downloads available in section”.

Then if I change back and forth between Win 64 and MacOS it becomes available but then crashes when I hit download with the error:

java.security.PrivilegedActionException: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program “cmd” (in directory “notAvailable\Steinberg\Install Assistant”): CreateProcess error=267, The directory name is invalid

and a long string of other messages…

I’d uninstall it, download a new copy from Steinberg Download Assistant | Steinberg and try installing it fresh. Also hit the gear button and make sure your download location didn’t get set to somewhere in outer space.

Thx, yeah maybe I’ll try again but it is a fresh install cause the last one claimed I wasn’t connected to the internet…

Same problem here, creating the folder manually or changing download folder didn’t help…

Install the new version if it still does not work: report with specifica.

Did a new install and no change…

Windows or Mac? Which os version.

I’m on Win10

I’m on mac so can’t help, sorry

With the Download Assistant not running, try un-installing the Steinberg Install Assistant, then launch the Download Assistant again and it should pop up and say it’s updating the Install Assistant.

It kind of looks like maybe it lost or corrupted some settings and forgot the path to the install assistant.

Did that aswell but thx, did a manual install of N14 and that worked thankfully…

Still can’t get it to work. I reinstalled SDA three times. I did download and install manually but some functions are not working (templates not showing in hub). Tried installing SDA on a different machine (both Win10) with the same result.
Please help, I bought a useless update.

New SDA Update 1.37.4 helped.
