Downloading sounds to default location (external drive) fails

Hi,

New to Cubase. I set my default download location to my external drive and received this message after attempting to download a loop:

When I try moving a library to my hard drive using the Steinberg Library Manager, I receive a similar error prompt:

Ultimately, what I had to do was manually move the file to my external drive, delete the file from the location it was redirected to, and double-click on the .vst file. The first time I double-clicked the .vst, the same error prompt from before appeared. I double-clicked again and this is what appeared:

The library will successfully install at this point. I had my activity monitor running and made sure there weren’t any other instances of Steinberg applications running (other than the Download Assist) as I tried downloading and moving the libraries initially.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

UPDATE

I figured out the issue. The download directory in the Steinberg Download Assistant has to match the library default location in the Steinberg Library Manager.

Hope this helps someone.
