Drag and drop audiofile from a folder into the timeline

This doesn’t work on N5.

This clearly works here.
What kind of audio file? And you dragged it from the explorer right?

If the audio file isn’t supported in N5, then it won’t work.
It sometimes also doesn’t work if the header in the file is ruined and/or the association for the file type is broken in windows.

I’ve tried all types including wavs that are actually playing correctly in the same project.

Yep, dragging from explorer. Worked great in N4

Fixed thanks to tech support. I re installed on the C: drive and am loving N5

Even though they say you can install N5 on a drive other than your c: drive it may screw things up.
