drag and drop parts whilst song is playing

Hoping there is just preference setting for this…

If I ALT / Click a part and drag it along the song whilst it is playing back (Say I am copying a chorus set of chords to the next chorus point…) if I move/drag ahead a lot then and get to the point I want to drop the file it seems to jump back to the cursor point at current playback point and the copy is not dropped…how do I stop it jumping back to cursor when I drop the part?

You may have Auto-Scroll on (F shortcut key, also called ‘Follow’, and one of the icons on the top of the project window too). Turn it off, see if that helps.
