Ever since I think (?) Cubase 12 pro, when I drag a clip in the arrange window, the whole window moves… This is maddening. I don’t want the window to move whatsoever when I click and drag a clip. Please tell me how to lock the window in place like It used to be locked by default. I’ve been meaning to post about this for a long time and I need to resolve it because it is a super big pain in my ass that I am tired of. PS: I have never seen any other DAW do this. this should not be happening.
Looks like a scroll setting.
has anyone figured this out. When you drag a part in the arrangement window, The whole internal window with scrollbars shifts to the left or right or up and down, Is this a bug? I have never seen a DAW behave like this before. When you click and drag, the only thing that should move is the part. Anyone? PS it’s not a scroll setting
I think I know what it might be. The Apple mouse. The cubase 13 interface does not lock the window when you are using an apple mouse with a gesture surface on it. Can this be fixed by Steinberg?
Your posts don’t contain info useful for troubleshooting, nor your OS. I’ll edit the title. Certainly, if this was universally happening on MacOS there would be an enormous outcry, so it’s likely a local fix is possible
Your OS is needed and if you add a video it would be more helpful to show the entire window so we have more context. All this would be more helpful than expressions of frustration, which while welcome, don’t help in troubleshooting.
I’m guessing you’re using a Magic Mouse? It looks like you might be swiping the top surface while you’re dragging.
yeah, is that stupid magic mouse. Although I’m not touching it whatsoever in a way that would slide the windows while I’m dragging. There’s some other bug involved evidently.
but not in Cubase, that much is certain.
