This would be just a killer workflow improvement. Having the possibility to adjust a plugin in the mix and then throw it to offline by drag and drop instead of using a preset, having to bypass the insert etc…
just open DOP and do exactly that 
Drag’n’Drop plugins from the Mixer to the DOP window AFTER you selected the clip you like to process.

Cool feature, Steinberg. Unfortunately, when using drag/drop plug in into DOP, it seems to “auto apply” the effect even with the “auto apply” box unchecked in the DOP window. Is this by design? Seems wrong…
