I have requested this a bunch of times and there is absolutely NO REASON why Cubase does not support this simple feature:
I wanna drag the red audio sample into Maschine. Should be simple!
As well as to any VST that supports drag and drop. This is a Cubase limitation.
I think it’s a VST2 limitation. If Maschine was VST3 I’m pretty sure it would be possible.

If that’s the case, it’s more like a limitation that Cubase intentionally imposes to handicap VST 2 because it works fine in any other DAW I’ve tried…
Agree, its a bit annoying but You can do it from the pool
