Draw Tool in the sample editor doesn't work

When i try to use the Draw tool in the sampler editor it says, “Drawing is not possible in this wave display mode!” The manual says Vari Audio cannot be on but I can’t figure out what the problem is.

Any ideas?

If you select the Vari Audio tab in the inspector so Vari Audio is active, then no you can’t use the draw tool.

I had no idea just having the tab open made it active.
