Drawing and Moving Tempo Crashes Cubase

Every time I draw in a tempo change in Cubase 14 and try to move the “point” up or down, it crashes. Anyone else experience this? It happens both in the Project window and the Tempo track editor.

Doesn’t happen, on my end : it’s a crash free process.
How Cubase is behaving in safe mode, using the Disable program preferences option ?

We’ve have seen instances where Cubase was crashing occasionally when moving tempo changes while the Score Editor was open. We have fixed that for an upcoming patch release. If this is what you’re seeing, it will be safest to close the Score Editor before adjusting the tempo track.

I am seeing this on 14.0.32 without the score editor being open - both regular tempo changes and time warp. I currently have a large project for a master session for a film of around 90 mins (although I also had it on a much smaller project of around 5 mins). Mix of audio and instrument tracks. If the project has been open a while it seems when I try and change tempo by moving a point up or down it hangs then crashes (Cubase disappears from the screen). When re-starting Cubase it doesn’t give a reason for the crash or a crash dump.

If I reboot and re-open the project I am able to make the tempo change. I came here to see if anyone else had reported issues.

Do you have any ARA-plugins/tracks active? I had this issue with an older version of an ARA-plugin. As soon as I disabled it, the issues were gone.

Thanks for the follow up.

I occasionally use Spectralayers or Synth V with ARA .. but these were not used on the affected projects. AFAIK if they’re not used they shouldn’t have an impact but ARA processing is a good area to look at.
