Drum Editor - Set Insert Length

Hi,

A request for assigning shortcuts to Set Insert Lengths in Drum Editor.

Have to jump over to Key Editor when editing drums for this functionality.

Breaks the flow…

Are you asking for there to be something in addition to the Insert Length setting in the Drum Editor toolbar?

I am asking for the ability to assign shortcuts to choosing set lengths - ie, alt+1 = 1/1, alt+2 = 1/2, etc.

Can’t be done in the Drum Editor.

Not so sure.

Most likely implimented when the triggering samples was more basic than today - one-shots for drum hits. And perhaps not considering the need - today - to go much into speeding things up (shortcuts) for drummers.. :laughing:

More subtle programming re lengths for hits, samples releases, continuous, et al, could be helped if Steinberg brought the Key Editor SIL shortcuts facility over to Drum editing.

As I say, can be done in KE but would be great if the facility resided in DE - where one might be initially working on Drums..
