Drum Machine - output channel names don't sync with pad renames or output changes

With Drum Machine, the output channel names which appear in the Mix Console are not updated/refreshed when pads are renamed or removed:

  • When changing the output for a pad, the name of the output channel is only created once–if the output hasn’t previously been assigned. If the output has been previously used for a different pad, the old name “sticks.”

  • If some pads are assigned first to outputs 2, 3, 4, 5–then later assigned to outputs 6, 7, 8, 9–the pad names will be repeated across output channels two through nine (unless those outputs were already used, which results in the names remaining unchanged).

  • Un-doing all the actions after Add Track doesn’t remove the channels which were created.

Assigning pads Kick 1, Kick 2, Snare 1, and Snare 2 to outputs two through five:

Renaming the pads to Kick 1 B, Kick 2 B, Snare 1 B, and Snare 2 B without changing outputs (output channels not updated):

Updating the pads’ output assignments to six through nine (old channels not removed, new channels created):

Updating the pads’ output assignments to ten through thirteen (old channels not removed, new channels created):

Renaming the pads to Kick 1 C, Kick 2 C, Snare 1 C, and Snare 2 C–and changing outputs back to two through five:

Triggering the renamed pads (the outputs appear on the correct channel numbers, but the names are incorrect):

Reset all pads and tested a bit more:

Un-doing the actions doesn’t remove any of the channels. They only get removed if the track is deleted:
