I’m in the process of setting up my studio in the house. Bought my interface (Tascam US-144mkii) which came with Cubase LE 4. I was wondering which drum beat software is the best?? Light indie rock is probably gonna be the most common genre i’ll be using it for.
Barry: I like Toontrack—it’s Superior Drummer 2.0 program
I’ve had good results with DRUMCORE free. Plus GROOVE AGENT ONE
that comes with Cubase 6.
I still use Alesis Drum machines and
try to get “RINGO” to stop by once in a while for REAL DRUMS.
Which is the best IMO – depends on the music and song your doing

PS: Lately I’ve been using Toontrack Drums
with a Drumcore Snare mixed in. Here’s another example

Thanks for the advice halljack. I’ve ordered the Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.0 VST Virtual Drum Kit Software. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Barry: You’ll like SD 2.0 ---- but don’t forget to check into Toontracks forums for advice
