Why there is no Android version for the dspMix FX app or the dspMix FX UR-C app?
This is very upsetting!
Could you fix that, please?
I bought it to connect to an Android smartphone, it turned out that it only works with an iPhone (which I hate and will never buy), I have to throw the audio interface in the trash. Wasted money. A useless piece of hardware until the release of Android software.
I share your problem also.
Still no Android DSPMixFx-UR-C remote control app. It’s a terrible shame - this would be a very useful feature on Android. I can’t imagine there being any technical reason why this couldn’t be written - could there perhaps be any specs released for the APIs exposed by the PC Remote Bridge app so that the open-source community could write an Android version at no cost to Steinberg/Yamaha?
As a potential workaround, it is possible to install SuperDisplay on your Android device and the corresponding driver on your PC to make your android device function as an additional monitor over Wi-Fi or USB. That’s quite nice anyway as the extra screen real-estate can also come in very useful for things like undocked DAW windows, plug-in UIs etc. Drag the native Windows native DSPMixFx app onto the tablet display (you might have to increase the app’s scaling). It’ll work in trial mode for a few days, and the app is relatively inexpensive to buy ($15 last time I looked). Worth checking out.
Hope this helps
