The VSL section of my VST Instruments list looks like this ⎯
If I load the VEPro plug-in by clicking on the second item in the list, it seems to work OK.
If I try to load the plug-in by clicking on the first item, Dorico hangs and has to be force quit (diagnostic report attached). Sometimes it hangs immediately, sometimes when I connect to VEPro and then close the project, sometimes when I save and reopen the project. I haven’t been able to detect a pattern.
I have uninstalled and re-installed VEPro.
The duplicate items do not appear in the corresponding menu in Logic.
This was happening in Dorico 6.2.2; it also happens in 6.2.30.
I could just try to remember never to use the first item in the instrument list. But is there a more reliable solution?
