Being the DX-7 is pretty iconic and the fact that Yamaha is the parent company of Steinberg it only makes sense that Cubase get a DX-7 emulation included as a VSTi. Maybe I’m in minority and there are other good ones out there that are enough but that’s my request.
Have you given a try to Dexed? It is free and very good, and can be used not only as a DX7 emulator, but also as a patch editor for a real DX7.
I’ve had several DX-7’s and I have to agree that Dexed is the real deal.
