Sometimes Dorico seems to “link” a dynamic marking I enter, so that I cannot delete or enter a hairpin without also entering or deleting for, say, the entire woodwinds or strings.
That shouldn’t be. Are you:
- selecting a note to start from
- selecting a note to finish on
- entering SHIFT D
- then entering something like mp < f
- pressing
?
If so, you should not be experiencing what it seems you are…
Yes, that’s precisely what I’m doing, and then I’ll get, say 5 of the dynamic figure entered.
