E Licenser Registration

Hi all, I am struggling with the E Licenser registration. I keep getting an error. I have tried loads of times but still nothing. The error 1001 code is implying I am getting network issues but I have a strong wifi signal with 50+ Mbps download and 15+ Mbps upload speeds. Not sure what to do I think time is running out. Can anyone help please.

Cheers
Paul

The speed of the connection has nothing to do with this error. Do you have any kind of VPN or Firewall active on the system?

Also, do you have the latest release of the Steinberg eLicenser Control Center installed? You can either launch the Download Assistant, which will automatically update alle needed utilities, or explicitly download the eLCC from here

Thanks for coming back to me. Sadly still no joy. I have installed the latest control center and I have switched off the Microsoft Firewall and my antivirus. In fact I even uninstalled it and tried to register the E Licensers but still get the 1001 error message. Any thoughts? Getting nervous about the 20th May cut off to register.

Are you trying to register it through the eLCC, or through your MySteinberg account?

Hi, thanks. I was trying via the EL CC but that never worked. I didn’t know you could register through My Steinberg and went in and had a look. I think I have done it now. I have a USB e License and also Soft eLicense that I am trying to register. The USB says it has been registered by someone else. It may be me under an old email address. The elicense has gone through successfully but, when I select my’eLicenser-based products’ I can two Soft-eLicense’s but both say ‘No Products found on this eLicense’. I want to send a support ticket but I am on Cubase 11Pro which don’t thinks is supported now? Does this sound like this has gone through successfully?

Err…no. Your usb is presumably the main one as it holds your Cubase license??
The soft elicensers whatever is showing as a license on them in the computer should also show as a license in MySteinberg. Are you sure they are the same active ones you have on the computer…check their numbers match? What licenses are on them?

Do you have two different accounts? This sounds like a case for official Steinberg support. Are you able to log in to the past account?

Do you actually own any Soft-eLicenser based products?

I’m not totally sure what “The elicense has gone through successfully” means. You have Cubase Pro 11 on a USB-eLicenser, correct? Is that the only product you own?

Your wording is somewhat confusing.

I would still try. Although Cubase 11 is now officially unsupported, I would consider this more of an account issue than support for the software itself.

Thanks all. Its sorted now. My account was registered under and old email address from about 10 years ago. The support team have moved it over and I am not registered.
