Hello, since a few weeks a cubae user… I recorded some VST tracks and after that my (accoustic) vibraphone. No problems so far…
But, recording conga’s after that I hear echo’s of my conga playing while recording.
How to solve that???

Is it Midi- or Audio-recording? If it’s Midi, is it Vsti or external device? You have to tell more about what and how yourdoing it! And cubase version too1

What I did: two tracks in midi, Halion for a bass and Halion for a synth pad, both Vsti. Than a new track for my vibraphone, that is audio and the conga’s where the echo came up, is audio also.
I use Cubase Artist 15.
Still too litle info about your setup and work flow, so I’m just guessing:
Are the echos there after recording too, on the playback?
Are there any effects on the channel, delays or sim?
There are no echo’s after recording, so, not on the playback.
I only hear them while recording.
No. no effects on the track that I record on, there are some (reverb, chorus) on the other tracks though.
What more info would you need? I’m a beginner, so…
This sounds like latency. Check your audio interface’s buffer size or if it supports it, try Direct Monitoring.
Are you on PC or on Mac ? Which Audiointerface (hopefully not internal soundcard) ?
Have you installed the ASIO driver of your interface ?
On PC, Audiointerface is Focusrite 4i4 4th gen.
Yes, ASIO driver = Focusrite.
Sounds like a routing issue.
Hearing them on input and output.the output sounds like an echo due to the latency.
Try turning the monitor button off or maybe direct monitoring.
