Hey y’all, I’m not sure if I’ve missed something or if the feature exists, but I typically have “V” set up to quickly open my VST instruments without having to click anything. However, I can’t seem to find a way to edit my FX without having to go into “Edit Channel Settings” first. Going through an editor just to open the screen where I can open my FX seems redundant and takes up time. Is there a way to set up a key command to go to the FX directly?
I can think of 2 ways to make the opening of an insert effect a single click or button push (there might be more?):
- The mix console can be configured to show all of the insert vst plugins for all of the channels. As single click on the e opens the edit window for that effect.
- A midi remote (e.g. a Generic Remote device ) can be programmed to edit an insert in the “VST Mixer” command hierarchy, e.g.
VST Mixer > Selected > Ins.1 Edit
toggles the editor for the 1st insert of the currently selected channel
