Would it be ill-advised to create markings such as “unis.” “div. a 2” in the Edit Playing Techniques panel.
I was thinking that this would align such markings automatically with the existing “arco” and “pizz.” markings.
It could be that I simply don’t understand how to adjust the default placement of text box items, but, for the moment, I wish I didn’t have to do so much editing of their positioning.
I have done this and it works well for my uses. The problem is that Dorico has only one default placement for playing techniques, as well as text. It would be nice if, like Finale, there could be multiple categories, each with its own separate defined positioning.
