Edit stereofile, but only want to see one chanel

how to edit a stereofile, but only want to see one chanel, so the edit window is double big?
The changes must also done in the unvisible chanel!

So what happens when you click on either of the stereo channels and click solo? Doesn’t it show onoly one window while also applying changes you make to the other channel that is muted/greyed out?
