Editing a Podcast - Cut an Audio Track Based On Levels

Hey!

Say I got one audio file of a multi participants interview.

2 mics for 6 participants.

Can I cut the file into sections based on a gain rule? Can I threshold / can Cubase detect differences automatically and then press one key to cut the whole track multiple times?

you could try to work with the Detect Silence function:

Audio/Advanced/Detect Silence

You can adjust the threshold and produce cuts. Maybe it’s worth a try:
