Hi,
Any idea why I can’t get an output on a new track someone has sent me?
I’m new to this & it’s probably something very basic…
All the new tracks I create seem fine & have outputs.
Track? Midi, Instrument, audio?
…or a whole compo, maybe…
In this case, does your interface works with other projects ? What is it, by the way ? Details would help us, cause the issue could have one or few causes from several ones : interface and Cubase interaction and settings (ASIO…), routing, monitoring setup, ‘track’ levels, etc.
Hi,
Thanks for your replies. So I’m using Focusright Scarlett 212.
It seems to be set up correctly as input & output.
I’m recording bass as audio.
Randomly, one new track I created was working fine. I then opened a bandmates file to add bass to it, in which I can see & hear all the existing songs, but am unable to see any output in my new audio track.
I’ve since recreated other new files & tracks & these aren’t working either.
For the record, I can always hear my bass, it’s just an output issue.
I’m very new to this & suspect I’m missing something very obvious.
Thanks again!
Can you post a screenshot of the project page, once you have imported the bass track, this, with its inspector opened (to check the routing…) ?
The bass track in your picture contains no data?
Yes, this is the problem. I’m getting no output & am trying to figure out why?
No data, no output. I don’t get it.
if you ‘always’ hear the bass, where is the issue, actually ?
I see that there is indeed data on your ‘Bajo’ track which has a Left - Stereo In as input, which doesn’t match your available Focusrite inputs/outputs list, then the other one (‘Bass’) without audio data having an input (‘MonoIn2…’) that also doesn’t match what’s in your Focusrite USB ASIO inputs/outputs settings.
So, to clarify all this, it would help if you could give us :
- screenshots of BOTH your Studio > Audio Connections > Inputs and Outputs panels.
- a step by step procedure explaining how you are importing the ‘track’ file.
I suspect that there is a mismatch between the two systems. Beside this, could you close the empty panel in your screenshots ? It takes uselessly a lot of place and doesn’t help in any way. Thanks…
I am not sure to unsderstand but if you can hear it maybe you can render it (again) in solo call it bass 2 and maybe that one will get a normal output . Good luck to you
