eLicense Issue Pro 8.5 upgrade

Hi,

I bought, downloaded, installed Pro 8.5 (upgrade). However, I cannot register/active the software using eLLC, I get the following pop-up (please also find attachment)


’ The license upgrade you are about to perform will work only for licenses which reside on a USB-eLicenser. Currently, the license eligible for this license upgrade process resides on the Soft-eLicenser. Please transfer the license you want to upgrade from the Soft-eLicenser to a USB-eLicenser (using drag-n-drop in the main window), then try the license upgrade process again.’

I hope somebody can help me with this issue.

Do you have a dongle? It sounds like your license is on software eLicenser, and you just need to open the eLicenser control center and drag the license from your hard drive to your dongle before you can upgrade.

edit: judging by the screenshot, it doesn’t look like there’s a USB dongle attached. That’s probably your problem. You need one of these: VST Plugins, Synth Presets, Effects, Virtual Instruments, Music to run Cubase Pro 8.5
