Emulating a frequently used process for dialog editing in SpectraLayer

Hi there,
I’m relatively new to SpectraLayers, so forgive me if this is already possible.

When DX editing in Pro Tools, I have a few keyboard/Streamdeck macros to achieve the following (via the smart tool and clip effects).

Applying a high pass filter to an “Ess” in dialogue.

  • Separate the new clip at selection, highpass the new clip (clip effect 1-5), then apply multi crossfade at the edit points, to avoid zero crossing clicks.
  • As you could imagine, this is a rather long process over a 2 and a half hour production, with up to 30 radio mics.

Is this something that can be easily automatable over the entire length of a dialog file in SpectraLayers, ie in a multi-process way?

I often receive live dialog tracks from theatre productions, where the “esses” are very “chishy” rather than a clean “Ess”… due to poorly mounted or rather poor quality head worn mics.

Love to hear anyone’s thoughts.

regards,
Matt

Hi Matt,

There are module changing and batch processing abilities.
