Enabling Channel "R" Changes Fader Level When Using VCA

  • Several tracks’ faders are controlled with a VCA.


  • There is automation written to this VCA.


  • Enabling “Read Automation” on the individual channels causes their faders to jump out of place even though there is no automation written to the tracks themselves - only the VCA.

What’s up with this?

Well, after further investigation, it seems the answer to my question is that somehow every track in my project had the current fader level at that moment imprinted on its volume automation layer. I have no idea how that happened…
