Hi guys,
I hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have a song that I’m working on. It was originally written and recorded in the late 90s…I think using Cakewalk or Logic…or maybe even Nuendo but I recently needed to complete the song and re-record parts of the song and get it in time. Actually it’s really the intro that way off in time. The rest of the song is fine at 145bpm.
The intro of the song is far slower than the song itself. All of the tracks in the song are currently midi tracks…so no audio yet. I’ll bounce to audio once I finalize each track.
The intro is at 105ish and the rest of the song is at 145bpm. I created a tempo track and for the intro attempted to set the tempo at 105 than right at where the song body starts I simply changed the tempo back to 145bpm.
This shifted what looks like is only the piano track which is the lead of the song. First, why wouldn’t it shift every track…why only the piano track?
Second, why is is messing everything up when the changes are only being made to the intro part of the tune? What I mean is that the tempo track is only changing the tempo from bar 1 to 15. From bar 15 to the end of the song the tempo remains at 145bpm…the song has always been in 145bpm so from bar 15 on nothing has been changed yet cubase wants to shift the piano track when the tempo track is implemented.
How would I have the tempo track be active where I can re-record the intro at 105bpm and not have it messup the rest of the parts after the intro?
I can’t seem to find an answer in the manual…and there doesn’t appear to be any Youtube video about this, so I’m hoping you guys might be able to offer some assistance in the proper way to add a tempo track without it messing up the whole project.
Thanks guys,
Chris
