"End repeat barline missing" warning

I’m getting this warning in the proofreading window, and don’t understand it. What kind of repeat barline does it mean? I was taught many years ago not to use repeat barlines as part of the dal segno structure, and - in any case - if I experimentally add one here I get further, and more admitory(!), warnings confirming that rule.
This began as a MusicXML import, so I deleted the whole repeat structure and reinput it in Dorico, but I still get the same warning.

How do I proceed? I’m not concerned with playback, by the way, I just want to be sure that the structure is correct, though I have been writing stuff like this for aeons.

Ignore the proofreading suggestion!
(That said. What’s your objection to using repeat barlines instead of the DS?)

Thanks. Re your question: force of habit, I guess. Are repeat bars preferred by players? I’m open to change!

Personally, I would always prefer repeat barlines, especially under 1st/2nd time repeats.

Yes, if you’re using repeat endings, then there ought to be repeats!

Ah, I get it now. The warning is based on the fact that I’m using repeat brackets together with the D.S., and the presence of the brackets is alerting me to the fact that there should be a repeat barline to go with them. Understood.
