Engraving glitch with hairpins

Hello Everyone!

I’m currently dealing with a frustrating engraving glitch that I’m not sure how to fix.

In the first image, I have a my full score which shows a hairpin going from FF to P to FFZ. In the 2nd image for the individual part, the hairpin is going through the p instead of closing and opening on either side of the p. When I try to move this around in Engraving mode, there is no way for me to move the center of this hairpin on the P as shown in the first image.

How do I fix this? I know this is a glitch, but I would hate to have to delete this. Is there a way to hide elements and add visual “dummy” images so the formatting looks correct on the parts?

Thank you!

Perhaps you made a local change to dynamics in the score?

I thought this was the case at first, so when I checked the full score I noticed everything looked fine. This is what my first screenshot shows, the ff>p<ffz.

I’ve attached another screenshot to show what happens in engrave mode. when I highlight the hairpin, all I see is the “>”.

However, in the full score, you can see the full ff>p<ffz is highlighted.

I’m not going to speculate further without seeing the project iteslf.

Sure! It’s at measure 21 for the flute. This is when I look at the individual part for the flute and compare it with the full score.

Here is my project.
Final Score Test 2.dorico (2.2 MB)

Just to add, it looks like the piccolo is having the same issue for the individual score! I may just have to change these dynamics.

It looks like you’ve inserted a >< dynamic. This dynamic is a single object, and it doesn’t like having another dynamic (p) added in the middle of it. If you want to diminuendo to piano and then crescendo to ffz, I think you have to enter each of those things separately.
