when i want to do an edit on a controller lane of a track the focus (the enlargement) of the selected controller lane jumps to the previous selected track (away from the selected controller lane) when i select the Range Selection Tool.
i have to then find and come back to the controller lane i actually wanted to edit.
very annoying!!!
the focus should stay on the selected controller lane for a meaningful workflow.

Did you make the Range selection over the Audio track before already?
Most likely the behaviour is guided by this preference: Editing → Track Selection Follows Event Selection
It seems to not only work for event selection but also for range.
it seems to jump back to the track that was previously edited with Range Tool.
yes, that was set to Follow Selection. looks like when i disable that it doesn’t jump anymore…
