Enlarged Score Not Resizing

I always start Concert Band scores out at 8.5"X11". Once everything is finished a created a duplicate score in the Layout Panel and then re-sized that score to 9"X12". The problem is the note size and rastral size did not increase in size on the enlarged score so I tried to go to that score and increase the rastral size but it won’t budge. I can alter those parameters in the original 8.5X11 score but not in the larger 9X12 score.
Anyone know why?

Thank you.

Are you sure you had that duplicate full score selected in the Layout options when you changed the rastral size? I have never experienced a bug there in over eight years, so I suspect it might be user error… And forgetting to select the appropriate layout in the right panel of the options is certainly a mistake I have already made!

Marc,
Thanks for the response. I went into the Layout Options menu and selected (highlighted in blue) the “Full Score Concert Size” Layout on the right but still could not change the rastral size or the note spacing. You are likely correct that this is a user error issue but I am still not sure what step I am skipping. Would it help you if I sen the Dorico file?

Thanks for the response. Sorry I am so dense.
Gary

Sure! I’m sorry it’s not the problem I imagined, but of course we want to help!

Marc,
Thanks. I am sending a partial score. I just can’t seem to get the the larger size score to increase the rastral size. It seems be stuck at filling 87.5% of the first few pages even when I select that score in Layout Options. I’d like to get the percent of page fill up into the upper 90%'s if I can. I does seem to want to add more plank pages at the end as you will see but has no effect on thew pages I have music on.

Any help would be appreciated.
Gary

You seem to have explicit space sizes in your manual frame breaks. This will override whatever you set in Layout Options.

You can select the first frame break, then Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+A a couple of times to select the rest of them, then turn off this property.

Aaron,
The reason I set up those Frame breaks at the beginning of pages 1 and 2 was that in my original score page 1 was about 95% full while all the other pages were around 85% so I was attaempting to balance the fullness of the pages into the upper 90%'s if possible. So someone told me to set up a Frame Break at the beginning of page one and then another at the beginning of page 2 and set a smaller rastral size on page one and then a larger size for pages 2 thru the end to balance the amount of page fill. Maybe that was not such a good idea since I planned to create a larger size 9X12 score.

My mistake was that I figured when I created the slightly larger page size that EVERYTHING in the score (rastral size, space size, etc.) would increase proportionally. That seems not to be the case. I guess when I set up the larger Concert Size page I need to go in and changes all those parameters to actually make them larger, right?

Thanks so much,
Gary

Yes, that’s right.

I’ll get this Layout business straight eventually,
Thanks.

The beauty of the layouts is that you can create new layouts in different sizes and configurations without disrupting your original score. Or create a working score for all instruments, and only include what you need to see in a condensed score. Or experiment as desired - without affecting your original layout. It’s a thing of beauty!
