Entering 1/8 Triplet Rhythms

This picture shows the desired result in the second measure:

To get this, I had to enter 1/8 note triplets and tie all the Abs together:

There must be a better way. Ideas?

(I chose not to change to 12/8 because it would complicate the other instrument parts, and I find that people don’t like time signature changes unless they are really necessary.)

Setting the eighth-note triplet then choosing a dotted quarter is enough to give the result you want. (Though I will say, since you’re not in a compound meter, reading a quarter note is much simpler.)
